Conductive wire tape: metal Band

The shielding bandages are probably the oldest method, tested and less expensive to shield cables, just think of the TV antenna cable. The metal mesh tape is used for electromagnetic shielding of power cables or transport signal / data. Winding the cord as a classic bandage is passed over it 4 layers obtaining a large shielding effectiveness, in addition to a corona damping (high voltage cables). The application is simple and the flexibility of the tape allows you to coat evenly irregular surfaces, even in the already installed cables.
The conductive wire tape is resistant to oils, high temperatures and it is not affected by thermal excursions. Both ends of the bandage must be  connected to ground. The shielding effectiveness is proportional to the number of layers. It is produced in rolls or reels of various widths.
